Light weight, economical shovel that you can handle easily. I get longer wear out of them than the shovels with the metal wear strip that catches and breaks. We buy them by the dozen for sidewalk crews.
The wooden handle is really stong and last for a long time... one of the only snow shovels that doesn't have a metal wear strip .... don't like wear strips becaus ealways hang up on granite stairs we have and catches caulking on stairs and walks
Purchased for resale - did not have a lot of feedback, positive or negative from customers. Price may have been a little high because we didn't move many.
Ames makes good tools, and this is a very good one. We use an array of shovels and pushers as part of our snow removal tooling, and usually go to AML for supplies. One nice thing about this shovel is the assembly: you simply pop the handle into the blade ferrule and you're set to go. Sturdy and simple...nothing fancy needed when the snow is flying.
