A.M.Leonard's tablets are an excellent cost effective insurance addition to ANY plant starting life anew in a container. January 22, 2011 was the finish up day for inserting over 6000 of annuals, perennials, trees, tropicals, shrubs and more, rootstock, bulbs, et al in containers. On the first day of spring, two months later, we have a 100% survival rate, outstanding growth, color and health. We can't say enough good things about the quality, and by far the best price per container application for any size nursery operation. Just another one of hundreds of great values from AML, we have compared many dozens of their products in value and satisfaction against just as many high end name brand products, and find them to be just as good, if not better, at a lower cost. AML is very important in keeping overhead costs lower.
for the past several years when we plant new shrubs or trees we have been adding the 2 year planting tablets. Gets everything off to a great healthy start!
I have been using the AM Leonard Starter Fertilizer Tablets 12g 12-17-17 for over 10 years. They are a slow release tablet that can be safely incorporated into many growing situations such as New Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, and even annuals. The results are substantial. This has been a great add-on sale to our normal plant sales. I would recommend them to anyone.
I have only junk ground around my properties that needed trees and shrubs. I planted with my plants depending on the size, from5 to 10 pellets of 20-10-5. Following up each year in the spring with 5 to 10 holes jobbed around the drip line and 2 pellets to the hole. If tree looked in need, would do it again in Sept. My shrubbery and trees look good, and will as long as I continue to feed them.
