Leonard is announcing a new partnership with Competition Accessories Super Bike Team for the 2001 race season. A.M. Leonard racing never wants to put forth anything other than the very best effort in competition. Due to the Suzuki partnership dropping out late in the year, we have decided to scale back for 2001 in order to re-form a major effort for 2002. Competition Accessories shares our top quality philosophy, and we are looking forward to reaching new heights together. While Competition Accessories uses our semi, AML will be supporting two riders from our fully equipped box van. Joe Oehlhof and Jeff Gibson will be riding East Coast Supercross Outdoor Nationals for us in 2001. Joe and Jeff are great riders, and we expect a terrific season. My parents weren't into racing or anything, but I am the youngest of three boys, so I guess you could say that my older brothers paved the way for me. I started 10 years ago, when I was about 10 years old. I have been racing as a pro for 5 years now, since I was 16. AML: Give us a quick run down on your career so far ... what have you been riding? Ryan: Well, I've been riding on my own, with just small local sponsorship up until this year. This is my first total package sponsor ... we get great support.
