    FAQ

    QUESTION: Are large models available?
ANSWER: Yes, there is a 1 1/3 gallon with product #2013F and a 3 gallon with product #2030F.
QUESTION: How much fertilizer should I put in the tank?
ANSWER: For maximum performance of your system, fill the tank with the recommended amount of fully concentrated fertilizer. You do not need to measure and mix the amount of fertilizer you put in, the system will automatically measure and mix the fertilizer with water to your desired setting. (Refer to SET FLOW ADJUSTMENT" in the manual). NOTE: If you are feeding a small area, you can put less than the recommended amount of fertilizer in the tank. The system feeds at your desired feed rate no matter how much fertilizer is put in the tank, so if less than the recommended amount is put in, it will empty the fertilizer sooner and the coloring from the fertilizer dye may be too weak to show in the clear tubing on the fertilizer outside of cap as the fertilizer is being distributed through the system. If the fertilizer you are using is not colored and you can't see particles, a heavy dose of food coloring can be added to the tank.
QUESTION: How do I know when the tank is ready to refill?
ANSWER: When the system is running, you can see fertilizer (colored liquid and/or small particles) flowing through the clear tubing attached to the fertilizer out (green) connection on the cap. When the clear tube on the fertilizer out side of the cap is clear when the unit is running, the unit is out of fertilizer and can be refilled. The tank can be refilled even if it isn't totally out of fertilizer. Just pour the water from the tank until it is no longer clear. When the water isn't clear, it has fertilizer in it, so quit pouring and fill the tank with the recommended amount of fertilizer.
QUESTION: Why is there water coming in the tank when I turn on the system and no fertilizer coming out.
    ANSWER:
When the tank is initially filled with fertilizer and the system is started, water flows into the tank until it is totally full and at the same pressure as the watering system. Fertilizer will begin to flow once this has happened. This can take a minute or more when the tank is refilled. Fertilizer with dark dye coloring will look darker flowing through the clear tubing than light color fertilizer even though they are feeding at the same rate. On low flow systems the fertilizer (colored liquid and/or small particles) flowing through the clear tubing will have less color because the system automatically adjusts the fertilizer ratio to the flow of water going through your system. Dry fertilizers take longer to begin flowing than liquid fertilizers. If there is no fertilizer flowing after a few minutes of operation, shut off the system, wait a few moments and restart it. Make sure the tubing valves are in the on position and the green and blue connection fittings are pointing in the correct direction in drip and sprinkler connection.
QUESTION: Does the fertilizer get weaker as the system operates?
ANSWER: The fertilizer solution is heavier than the water coming into the tank through the agitation tube as the system operates. This means the fertilizer solution settles to the bottom part of the tank and the water on the top. The fertilizer is pulled from the bottom of the tank to insure a consistent feed rate. REMEMBER: The liquid left in the tank may be slightly colored from the fertilizer dye, even though the fertilizer has been completely disturbed. NOTE-the tank is always full of liquid. (As the fertilizer is distributed it is replaced with water.)
QUESTION: Can I use pesticides and herbicides in the system?
