Fantastic tool!!! I use it primarily for transplanting trees and shrubs. It does a fantastic job with the pointed edge. I found that the weight of the shovel gives it a momentum that slices through the soil. I have used it to dig into soil with gravel and it literally 'slices' through the gravel with a minimal effort on my part. I'm thoroughly impressed with the spade and have come to rely on it for a host of digging projects. I highly recommend it!!!
