Leonard 6 cu ft Steel Tray Wheelbarrow with Diamond Tread Flat Free Tire

Wide tires keep you from rutting soft ground with a heavy load, but the larger footprint can make them a little harder to push and maneuver. Introducing the new narrow tire version of our famous A. M. Leonard wheelbarrow line! Ever notice that a drag racer has wide tires on the back, and narrow tires on the front? That's because you want the rear drive tires to have as much contact with the ground as possible to increase the traction. Traction is good for a drag racer, but you may not want to be fighting it with a heavily loaded wheelbarrow. And they put a narrow tire on the front to reduce traction and weight. A narrow tire on a wheelbarrow is lighter, easier to maneuver (especially when tightly pivoting to dump mulch in a shrub bed), and takes less effort to push on firm ground. Choose the style that works best for you!
