Product Benefits

  • Compare our handle to the handles on economy rakes:
    • 54" long, not 48" gives you more comfort and longer reach.
    • 15/16" diameter, not 7/8" (or even less) gives easier grip, less hand fatigue, and greater durability.
    • Handle is lacquered to increase weather and moisture resistance.
  • The ribbing on the tines increases the stiffness and strength of each tine, helping you get more leaves with every stroke.
  • The bright orange color helps your crew find all of them at the end of a long day.

Warranty

A.M. Leonard, Inc. warrants all its tools identified with the "A.M. Leonard Lifetime Warranty" to be free from material defects for the life of the tool.

Customer Reviews for Leonard Poly Lawn Rake 23in Head, 24 Tines

5 Stars

Poly Rake

Phil Baker from IN wrote (March 15, 2017):

Just what I'd been looking for. I needed a rake with a flat rather than curved tine alignment. Rake seems very sturdy and reliable. I appreciate that they included a wood screw to solidly attach the rake to the hard wood handle.

5 Stars

durable rake

RVH retired from MO wrote (December 02, 2016):

very durable light weight rake and also easy to locate, because of the orange color, in the garage when needed

yes and no

The Master's Groundworks from MN wrote (November 16, 2013):

I love the color, the stiffness, and the handles. However, the tines on all of the rakes do not last long. They seem to be brittle and snap off too easily. Some of my crew want the cheap ones back.

Update after reading about handles...

Ken from ME wrote (June 07, 2012):

I will say that they must've upgraded the handles because mine came with solid oak handles that I don't believe will ever break. They may have upgraded since those earlier reviews about the handles breaking were added.

These are the only rakes I'll ever buy again!

Ken from ME wrote (June 07, 2012):

I'm a landscaper who has one setting "hard and fast." When I rake, I rake quickly, and firmly. The last 2-3 years I cannot find anymore decent rakes. I have to use my old Ames and add oak broom handles and duct tape. These are the FIRST rakes I've used in FIVE YEARS that will hold up to ... ME!

Good and bad

Stripes Lawn Care from PA wrote (May 20, 2012):

I love the orange color. They are stiff and do a good job. However, three of the four I purchased have lost several teeth. Not worn out, completely broken off. It is just my wife and I so it is not abuse. I have old poly rakes that are worn flat, but have all their teeth.

A.M. Leonard: We have contacted the customer to replace their broken rakes.

Where did I put my rake?

Jill from OH wrote (June 30, 2011):

Seems I always lose my rakes in the field. The bright color will help me solve that problem!

A&M Leonard 24" Poly Leaf Rakes

Jeff C. - Nursery Mgr. Treaverse Outdoor from MI wrote (June 24, 2011):

The heads on these seem to last the longest of many leaf rakes we have tried. The only drawback, is the composite handles. They usually get broken long before the heads do.

Leonard Poly Lawn Rake Review

Jeff M. from KY wrote (March 27, 2011):

Good value for the money, but wood handles are weak and snap off fairly easliy.

A.M. Leonard responds: We'll do QA to ensure quality of product, but our tuff-flex composite handles may be a better option in this situation.

Leonard Poly Lawn Rake

RS from Moline, IL from IL wrote (March 21, 2011):

I've been purchasing these rakes for several years. They hold up very well and the orange color makes them very visible when they are in the back of a truck with a load.
