Blade shape with raised sides creates the extra holding capacity you need for deep snow removal. Shovel handle is a large 1-1/4" diameter, made of American Ash with a strong poly D-grip. I bought this shovel because the handle is extremely solid, the handle is large enough for gloves and the plastic is also tough. We use these shovels for our snow removal service.
