I use this Okatsume Shear for pruning my bonsai. Is a good shear for defoliated. The spring in the wizard is helpful when you use it so as not to tire the hand.

These shears are great for use in the cut flower business as they will cut through the stem clean and fit into your back pocket well. We definitely prefer the pointed tip to the rounded tip as you have more control of the cut.
