Leonard Bow Rake w/ Forged 16.5", 16 Teeth Head, Composite Handle

The workhorse of rakes!

Tired of rake heads pulling out of the socket? Try this one; the head is WELDED into the socket, adding stiffness and durability, and eliminating breaks. In addition, the 14 gauge socket is riveted all the way through the handle, not just held in place with a nail or a screw. It just won't pull apart! Bow Rake teeth are curved to help you move more of what you are raking. Bow style rakes also have a little more flex than an ash head rake, for extra give when you hit that inevitable rock or root. Lifetime warranty.

3 Stars Forged Bow Rake

B. Clarkin from OH wrote (September 29, 2011):

The forged bow rake works very well for spreading soil; however, it is a bit heavy for some of the horticulturists using it.

4 Stars sent by mistake

Sandcoat Farm Enterprises, Residential Landscape Design from PA wrote (September 28, 2011):

I had ordered a straight rake, but this item arrived. i was going to return it, but that week, my old, wooden handled bow rake had separated from its handle, and I needed to replace it, so i kept the bow rake and ordered a straight rake, too. This rake is light-weight but strong, and is perfect for grading flowerbeds, vegetable beds, and even gravel. I don't think i will have to worry about pulling the metal rake free of the composite handle, and the bright orange color will ensure that no one will step on the handle if it is lying in a work area. Seems like a shipping error turned into good luck for me.

5 Stars Leonard Bow Rake

Jay S., Stone Excavating. from IN wrote (September 24, 2011):

The Leanard Bow Rake is a great tool for any construction or landscape company. We use it when placing topsoil. Usually we lay the shovel aside and use it like a come along to place soil to grade. It saves time and is the only one built tough enough to take the abuse that we give it. The composite handle is rugged and the bright orange color keeps it from being left on the job when tools are picked up.

5 Stars Solid

ProActive Grounds Mgmt. from OK wrote (September 23, 2011):

Like the handle and head of rake. Both are superior to anything we have purchased at home improvement stores or nursery. The handle has flex yet is rigid and the head is thicker gauge metal that retains shape and is welded or attached to collar in a secure manner. We use commercially and the durability has been good so far. Worth the money imo as I seem to go through more hard rakes than any other tool.
