Customer Reviews for Pickup Wizard For Small Fruits and Nuts (3/4-inch diameter minimum)
This ingeniously simple tool picks up acorns, which in quantity can be toxic to horses, in my pastures and arenas. Any rocks or twigs found along the way are similarly extracted, all without even bending over!
The Nut Wizard works precisely as advertised. I have hickory trees and it scarfs up hundreds of nuts with little or no exertion. Passersby stop and watch in amazement as my Nut Wizard gobbles up the nuts in my driveway. It is one of the most useful yard tools I have.
I filled a 5-gallon steel bucket with acorns in less than an hour, with greater ease than walking the dog! Acorns just jump into this thing without any effort whatsoever, it is fantastic!
The smaller nut wizard is fine for small nuts, but for black walnuts, the large size is just great. I bought one for myself and gave it to my sister, so I purchased another for myself and think it is great.
I used the Nut Wizard to pick up shag bark hickory nuts, for the first time last season. It worked very well, I just wish that I had received it a little earlier in the season before the nuts came out of their shells. It is much easier to pick up the nuts when they are still inside the shells rather than gather the nuts and shell pieces (but the Wizard successfully does that, too)! It is pricey, but well constructed, and worth every penny if you have a lot of nuts/shells to gather.

- QUESTION: Which of the two Nut Wizards will pick up those spikey "sweetgumballs" that fall off a Sweetgum Tree?
- ANSWER: Our feedback from customers on this is that the large one, the NWW, works best. The small one does not work well because the basket wires are too close together to allow the spikey balls to pass through.
Easily picks up nuts and fruits! Just roll over fruits and nuts lying on the ground and the spring wire head traps them inside. To empty, place the Nut Wizard over the wire dumper included, attached to a 5 gallon bucket, turn and the captured items fall right out.
Use for general pickup including: macadamia nuts, almonds, large acorns, hickory nuts, pecans, small apple-shaped pears, crabapples, sweet gum balls and more (from 3/4-inch to 4-inch diameter). For larger items like black walnuts, etc., please consider the NWW.
