The Root Assassin really is!

I bought this after seeing it online, because the design appeared to be just what I was looking for. I have been using it to get a lot of milkweed and unwanted saplings out of a bed. This product does the job extremely well. It also is durable. It made quick work of clearing out some deeply-rooted milkweed.

Root assassin shovel

This shovel is worth every penny you will spend. My working around our farm are fighting over who gets to use it. I now can get up those stubborn shrubs, tree roots, etc. This shovel just saws through the ground and roots. Cuts your project in half. You have to have one of these if you move and transplant plants, shrubs, etc.

Root Assassin Shovel

I bought the shovel to dig up and divide large perennials and ornamental grasses. Very happy with the slicing power, especially if you dig/slice on all sides of the clump. Shovel works better in moist soil. I used a different shovel with more prying power to lift the clump out of the ground. The root assassin could have sturdier prying power but still a great tool and I would highly recommend.
