the only problem I seem to be having is the screw that holds the lock in place keeps untightening.

Great product!

David from CO wrote (January 26, 2017):

I picked up a pair of the #1234 pruners, and absolutely love them! Just a couple months ago I put them to the test, collecting willow and cottonwood cuttings. The job was three full 8 hr. days of nothing but cutting sticks, and I couldn’t be happier with how these pruners performed. They were comfortable enough that even after 24 hours of snipping, I had no cramping, no blisters, and felt like I could have kept right on going. They’re tough too, with enough strength to cleanly cut through willows as thick as an inch. This was a great bonus to discover, as the job took place in some tricky terrain, and not having to carry around a set of loppers as well made it so much easier. I treat them nicely and clean them after each use, but I’m still using the original blade still and it seems as sharp as the day I got them!

Not tough enough

Have had much better luck with Felco pruners. AM < 1 season and Felco several seasons.

These pruners were a replacement for Felco Pruners. They have performed well under heavy use, and we will purchase more as replacements are needed.
