The round head is so much more efficient that the u-shaped pins. Has held even in high winds.

Too bad they aren't galvanized! wrote

Very nice only punching one hole in the cover. If you space them right it won't come up. But don't like the fact that they rust and I've had a few heads break off. A salesman said "Well you wouldn't want zinc (galvanized) leaching into the soil would you?" My reply was that I was having rust leach into the soil instead. Not to mention, when the heads rust and snap off you have a rusty stake left in the ground.

Awful for my use wrote

In the past I used the U-shaped pins to hold weed fabric down for the walkways between tables at my nursery. I trusted the description that they would hold more surface area and save labor costs. They quadrupled mine. They went in with about the same effort, but as soon as the wind blew they all popped up! Very disappointed.

The pins hold well. They don't like hard ground and bend a little easy. After 2 months in the ground they are hard to pull out, this is a good thing
