    FAQ

QUESTION: What is a Cut and Hold head? ANSWER: Plastic holding devices on side of the blades which hold the branch during cutting and after until handle is released. Allowing user to control branch and pull from tree. These plastic devices can be removed to increase the cutting capacity from 1/4" to 1/2". QUESTION: Are blades on the LRP4 pruners replaceable as individual cut blade (upper blade) and individual hook blade (lower blade)? ANSWER: No, they must be purchased as a whole cutting head. The part number is 40530BL. It can also be put on older model TR163 and TR165 (when we say older, we mean models that do not have the red plastic "triangle" on the end).

Long handled pruner Home orchardist. from WA wrote March 30, 2018

I bought this pruner to replace the one that I had been using for close to 20 years and it finally wore out. I love the feature on the new one that grips the branch when you cut it, however one of the screws that holds the gripper part fell out and the gripper became useless. I contacted the company and they never contacted me back. I also purchased the 4 foot model. When it arrived, the screws holding the gripper were loose, so after finding a replacement screw for the one, I applied locktite to all of the screws. They are an excellent product, but if you buy one, check those two little screws before using.
