Bamboo rake 30" wrote

Like its light weight, easy to handle. I changed out the small nails to screws to better support the handle. This is the second rake I bought from A.M. Leonard.

Very pleased with the bamboo rake, it far exceeds any metal or plastic rake out there. Had one for many years and it finally gave out. Was unable to find one anywhere locally. Was very pleased to find it on your web site.

Have used bamboo rakes along side other's, bamboo wins everytime. Strong, light, flexible and durable. Have two now that are worn down on the rake teeth to about a quarter inch. Will rake up anything-pine straw and pine cones, leave's,stick's even have used for leveling dirt. When the teeth are worn just remove the handle's and now you have nice light pickup tool's right at your hand's. Everybody that try's them love's them and want's them.

Out of 24 rakes at least 9 had bad handles. They were very rubbery and would break soon after using. Company did send replacement handles which were much better.

If you were used to the old bamboo rakes this one comes close to those. I purchased 2 and had one tine break the first time I used it but don't think it could be blamed on anyone. Just happened to be a weak tine. The screws that come with the rake are tiny but seem to hold the parts together. I will reserve judgment on the plastic mount for the tines as I haven't ever had plastic hold up to normal use in anything but a plastic cup for a drink. The rake out performs the all plastic units sold by the big box stores like Wally World and Home D. which is why I purchased them in the first place. I like the feel and durability to date. I would recommend this item. It is worth the $$. Wish there were a larger unit made for the days that the leaves are dry and fluffy. It would allow me to finish the job quicker.
