Sharpening chains has always been a two step process- until now! Pferd's great tool sharpens both the round part of the tooth and the flat depth gauge area in one easy step precise simultaneous sharpening by hand, to ensure the difference in height between depth gauge and cutting tooth is in proportion (0.8 mm or .031"). Complete with 8" round chain saw file and depth gauge file. The correct dimension depends on the size of the saw chain and the amount of wear on the teeth. Follow the instructions of the chain manufacturer.
