Established on a CT dairy farm in 1997, CowPots are a 100% American made product. Made from cow manure, they?re also 100% biodegradable and renewable. A high quality, eco-friendly alternative for seed starting and transplant pots!

CowPots are not only a biodegradable, plantable replacement for plastic pots, but have additional benefits as well. CowPots last in a greenhouse setting for up to 12 weeks. Roots easily penetrate the walls of the pot, eliminating transplant shock, and they rapidly breakdown after transplanting providing the goodness of manure to the garden. With no plastic to clean up or dispose of, transplanting is quick and convenient.

Love these pots for finishing plants before planting. No transplant shock, great food at the roots and no plastic waste!

Great for transplants Small commercial vegetable and fruit farmer from NH wrote April 13, 2017

Been using these for several years. We grow outstanding, rugged transplants and just pop the whole thing in the ground. Works like a charm and a very good price.

Best biodegradable pot K. Clark from AZ wrote December 12, 2016

I've tried fiber, coco-fiber and others, but these have been the best. Great root development and completely degrades by end og growing season. Perfect!

I use a lot of this size of CowPots for selling tomato seedlings. Because I am a small-scale grower, I don't always need the larger size case (they are also sold in cases of 450), so appreciate that you had the 180 size available. CowPots work well as the plants send their roots towards the pot walls, and thus don't suffer transplant shock. Of course, they also eliminate the need for plastic pots.

Great way to grow and plant avid gardener turned semi-pro this year from OH wrote June 14, 2016

Pots worked great for my vegetable plants. Will likely go with deeper pots next year as roots grew out of bottom before planting. Grew slower than same plants in plastic pots, but plant was sturdier and better looking at planting time.
