5 5 Landscape maintenance and design papakait123@gmail.com Best pruners.
5 5 Great Hand Pruner Willie Perfect size, right spring tension, sharp blades.
2 5 Value Pruners Professional landscape company Break very easily! We went through so many of these in 1 Spring, and they were often breaking at different points. The price was tempting enough to buy a half dozen, but they broke way too easily. They start to get dull and then the aluminum around the blade will break.
3 5 Uncomfortable Mirem Villamil The safety latch tends to hit your hand when you cut, so if you're doing multiple cuts (like chopping material for compost), you will quickly do some damage to your skin. Also, annoyingly, the locking piece tends to lock itself while you're in the middle of a job. Otherwise these are fine lightweight pruners... although ours might be lasting a long time because we don't use them as much as the more comfortable models!
3 5 Spring pops off all the time botanical horticulturist Great pruner for the price, the main problem we have is the springs pop off all the time. If the company made the nobs inside the spring on the handle a little longer (like felco does) they would probably hold, otherwise, great for a "disposable" pruner.
4 5 Review 834 (Leonard 9in Crew Pruner Tina Work great. My left handed workers have a little problem with them not cutting properly due to the angle of the cut.
1 5 Poor quality Don We broke three pairs of these within 5 minutes doing summer pruning on young apple trees no larger than a pencil.
1 5 Handles Break Richard G. I bought three of them in January, two of them have broken on the upper part of the handle, when cutting a branch between 1/2 and 3/4 inch. The handle has just snapped apart. I have used many other designs of pruners and none others have broken at that point. I will not be getting these again.
5 5 Great pruner for the price!! Keith; Frantz Nursery. For those of us with hired employees, lets be honest.... No employee will care for pruners like an owner. I was very tired of finding $50 Felcos laying in the dirt, left on delivery vans, in the last field we pruned. Mary suggested the 834 as a affordable "disposable" pruner. Yes, the rubber handle does not allow the spring to sit firmly. 30 seconds with a razor blade will fix that. Cut the rubber to expose the spring holding ears fully. Yes, the handle will break cutting large limbs. These are not Felco 2's guys. What these are is a wonderful inexpensive pruner you can pass out to a seasonal employee and not have to worry about breaking the bank while they can accomplish mild pruning needs. I will continue to purchase the 834 for years to come. Thank you Mary..... Great suggestion!!
3 5 good cutter, watch the spring Municipal horticulture director The blade is beefy enough for light every day pruning. Be mindful of the spring however. It is easy to knock off the tool in the full open position.
5 5 Crew Pruners Manager K's Acres Very nice for the $$$ absolutely cant beat it ! Work good too !
5 5 Crew product Lincoln Good price for outfitting your crew with basic pruners every year.
5 5 Crew loves them Coventry Gardeners, Ltd We had purchased by pass pruners at the start of our season from a hardware store and the crew have been complaining they weren't any good. I decided to search your catalog and purchased these for our crew. They are very happy, thank you!
2 5 Cheap for a reason SLJ If you are looking for a lightweight, economical pruner this works well but do not expect to cut 0.75 inch material. The lower bypass is cheap cast iron almost the consistency of plastic and broke the first time using to prune a Japanese maple. Pay a little extra and invest in something that will last.
1 5 Buy the pricier pruners. Susan s. These pruners are not worth the cost. Should not be classified as pruners since the blade is so bad it can't cut the smallest limb.

1 5 Broke very quickly Steve ( Landscape foreman ) If you are going to use this prunner for anything other then extremely light prunning, then pick something else.
5 5 Best pruner ever... Lawn Maintenance 10 years in the field. Handy pruner. Carry it all the time. Always trimming and freshening up. My go to item when I first hit the ground.
1 5 A stinker.... Landscapre It'd be a great deal if it lasted more than a week!!!! Bought a couple for coworkers in case they lost it so I wouldn't be out $50.00 for a Felco. Pruning and it just broke at the blade attachment. I didn't expect a whole lot for $10.00 but geez, less than a week?
5 5 834 hand pruners Scott H This is a very handy pruner, it is for entry level though. We give all new employees a pair from mowers to landscapers. If they break we replace them. It works great for beginners, for the money, a bargain!
4 5 834 AGR Good quality for the price. Made well.
