Good product but

Great 4 star product BUT there is no way there was 112lf per bag. Of the 3 one roll came close. Not the end of the world but makes it impossible to order what you need.

"The Storm"

Withstood wind up to approximately 70-75 mph. Installed it in a hurry two days before being hit by hurricane Irma. This in hope that my freshly graded 1-8 slope front yard would somehow survive. This is nothing but Florida sand. Surprisingly it remained in place. I did not even use the pins. I think it would take an exceptional person th think about everything while facing this kind of possible disaster. By merely wetting the sand to mud under the matting it was able to adhere and not get blown away. I am a mechanical type person and growing things is the antithesis of my experience.

Erosion mat

I was very pleased with this product. It unrolled easily and was easy to install. Has stayed in place nicely and is helping hold the soil while hopefully the grass seeds all sprout. Did not give 5 stars because the mat was sparse in some places.

The new green give a quick look at what the project will eventually look similar to. Also better decomposing is good also.

Shorter than advertised!

wrote ():

Bought two rolls of this to cover 900sqft. Wasn't expecting it to be an exact fit but one roll was 104ft long and the other one was 93ft long. So I was 112sqft short. Wasn't expecting this given the price of the product. Other than that, it seems high quality and has good, even coverage. Once you get the roll started it goes down easy.

Looks like what I'll need

wrote ():

I haven't used this yet. I bought it because you had free shipping and this weighs a ton. I had not found this at big box stores and need a big swatch of netting that isn't very visible (was using white mesh cloth) to cover ground while grass grows. I have free range chickens that dig up big areas and I need to protect it while new grass grows.

Defective!

This 'stuff' (not sure what else to call it at this point) could not have been made right. The white nylon?? filaments running through the mat were somehow partially woven into the adjacent layer and had to be cut to get the mat to unroll. We kind of thought it was something we were doing wrong until we got half way through the roll and suddenly - like magic - the mat just started to unroll effortlessly. So we ended up with half the slope nice and neat just like the pictures and the other half the slope looking like a crazed Easter bunny had spread out a cart full of Easter grass haphazardly. It was not worth the money or the time to deal with it.

Erosion control

I like this product alot. I have two small sloping areas on the sides of my driveway I made into a flower garden for ground cover. I had trouble getting it finished before the rains washed my dirt down the hillside. This blanket was light enough for me to handle and still make holes for me to plant in. But it was also dense enough to keep the dirt from washing away.
