This edger is incredibly heavy, well made. Far better than you can purchase in your local home and garden center.
A friend of mine has a beautiful, useful, heavy edger that he bought from A.M. Leonard years ago. I have coveted it for years and finally broke down and bought one. This is junk made in China. I should have stuck with my spade.
Cast iron neck cracked where it joins the handle while breaking ice. My sons did the same. Have it welded more in that area right after buying new.
A.M. Leonard: Please note - This item is not intended to break ice.
this tool is well worth the money. I am in landscaping and do a lot of edging, including laying brick edges. It's heavy and cuts a line very quickly.
Love this tool! Heavy to use, but will chop through tree roots the size of your wrist with one chop. Great for hand trenching in conjunction with a trenching spade.
