Elvex AirSpecs Stainless Steel Mesh Safety Glasses

Elvex AirSpecs have stainless steel mesh lenses to allow airflow to and from your eyes. These lenses protect the eye socket from pokes and prods of stationary or very low energy, non-fragmenting objects over 1 mm in diameter. AirSpecs feature a wrap-around frame design with a foam face seal. A pantoscopic angle adjustment temple allows a better fit on more faces. The black Anodized coating on the steel mesh reduces reflections and glare. An elastic fabric headband is adjustable for a comfortable, secure fit.

AirSpecs are ideal for humid environments as they do not fog like traditional lenses. They are great for workers harvesting fruits and other crops. They also work well for arborists using non-powered cutters and trimmers to protect eyes while closely working around leaves, twigs, and small tree branches. These glasses meet ANSI Z87.1 standards for basic impact (1-inch ball drop) protection.

Elvex designed their AirSpecs to provide limited hazard protection while allowing air to freely pass through the frame for comfortable, non-fogging protection. The steel mesh lens reduces visible light by 60 percent, acting like a sunglass to reduce glare. EVA closed-cell foam provides a comfortable face seal and long-lasting durability.

WARNING: This spectacle meets ANSI Z87.1-2010 Basic Eye Protector. It has a steel mesh lens that protects against larger (greater than 1.0 mm diameter) non-fragmenting, low energy particles and objects. DO NOT use for high-velocity or high-mass projectiles, small particles, or liquids as they can pass through the mesh lens. The mesh lens DOES NOTprovide UV protection and reduces available light by 60 percent. Use only in well-lit areas. The user must assure that the spectacle can achieve a secure fit, determine if the spectacle will provide adequate protection from all anticipated hazards, and always wear them when exposed to hazards.
