We decided to this particular earplug for my employees while using loud equipment such as chainsaws, blowers, demo saws, etc. The earplugs fit fine and seem to do the job. However, they are short lived. The cord doesn't last long and the earplugs get dirty easy and are very difficult to clean.
I tried the blue plugs first and paid to return them before getting the orange plugs. Both were equally hard to keep in. I could hardly tell the difference with them in and out. The amount of time (one minute) needed to properly insert these things is stupid and impractical if you need to take them in and out often. (Why bother - they hardly block the noise anyways). Ordered Howard Leight Max from Amazon and even though they do not have the 33 rating of Elvex, at least they stay in. If you can stand headphone type earmuff they work best of all but are tiring all day.
