These flexible stakes allow for movement during windy conditions, yet limit the range, to reduce permanent damage during high winds.

This natural movement stimulates root establishment and allows for max growth potential. The fiberglass stakes include UV inhibitors which allows for a life expectancy of about 8 yrs. Reduced tree damage, no replacement costs, lower labor costs. Pointed tips for easier insertion into the ground. Light gray in color.

Good quality stakes ad a very fair price. wrote

Last year, I purchased an electric fence (mesh) to surround the lower part of my deer & critter deterrent electric fence. It came with a bunch of wimpy, 3/8" diameter step-in posts that couldn't stay rigid enough to keep first seris of + wires from touching the ground or the ground wire (first line). This year wanted a bettter solution so I opted for these 6', .5" diameter fiberglass posts to firmly secure the four sides of the garden's lower fence. I use a simple stainless steel "pinch" wire connector that I can move up or down each post. The corners are 2/3" diameter driven down at least 1'. These seondary fiberglass posts do the job!

I bought the stake to make a shallow water anchor for my kayak. To build a handle for the anchor, I used 1/2 inch PVC.

However, the PVC fit very loosely over the stake. I used an electronic caliper to measure both. The AM Leonard fiberglass stake was EXACTLY 1/2 (.500) in diameter, while the inside diameter of the PVC was .590. I the. Tried 1/2 inch CPVC and found its diameter slightly less than 1/2 inch.

For your use of the stake, its exact diameter probably does not matter. But the fact that it is made to such exact specifications shows that this is a quality product, manufacturers with care and pride.

And, for the record, it works great as a shallow water anchor. I drive the stake into the mud and tether my kayak, with a total weight of over 350 pounds, to the stake. As the wind and current push my kayak around, the stake bends, but does not break. Surely it will keep your plants upright.
