5 5 Plant Guards Cheri master gardener It saved my plants this past Spring. In Ohio we can have horrible winters and equally horrible springs. In 2020 it was a horrible spring. I love roses. I now have about 30. I could vent the covers or not over the winter and it protected the roses from the wind and cold without molding. When the weather warmed up I could easily take them off and put them back on at night. I also used them for other plants with good results. They stack and store the best I have ever had. I bought them 3 years ago and keep adding to my collection. So far the plastic has not become brittle.
3 5 These are wonderful! John I first bought these in 2011 and now have 24 of them. They are sturdy and the first ones I bought are still holding up. I use them early in the spring and the difference in growth of lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes and peppers is amazing! They provide protection from hungry rabbits and cold spring winds.
5 5 These are the greatest!!! Susan M. I love these, bought 16 in the Spring. Covered my veggies soon as I transplanted them outside. The plants were so much happier with the covers on than when I removed them. I thought they'd be roasting inside, but they were cool and happy. Was perfect for the night coolness too. Went to purchase more and they weren't available so will absolutely buy several more. They are sturdy and even without staking them to the ground they were able to withstand our high winds.
5 5 So nice and sturdy Janean Bartholomew Thank you so much for my Frost Guard Protectors. They are high quality and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!
5 5 LOVE,LOVE,LOVE THE FROST GUARDS!!!!!!!!!! SHARON THE GARDENER THESE FROST GUARDS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!! I ORDERED 9 OF THEM LAST YEAR AND CAME BACK FOR 12 MORE JUST THIS MONTH. WE LIVE IN WILLIAMS, AZ, WHICH IS ABOUT 30 MILES FROM FLAGSTAFF, AZ. OUR ZONE IS 5B. THESE FROST GUARDS PROTECT IN THE WINTER VERY WELL, INCLUDING VERY WELL IN THE SNOW!! THIS PAST SPRING AND EARLY SUMMER WE HAD ALOT OF WIND, AND I FOUND THESE TO BE WONDERFUL PROTECTORS FOR THE YOUNG PLANTS THAT I HAD PLANTED EARLY SPRING. I JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM!!!!!
3 5 Just Started Using Franco M So far I find it very hard to turn the adjustment to open more holes or less for ventilation. I held them while my wife forced turn so the respiration holes would be in the open position. I do not know how they work because I just started using them.
5 5 Frost Guard Protectors Paul B. I purchased 36 of these wonderful items immediately when I saw them in the catalogue. Even though I have not used them as yet, I can tell you that they will be far ahead of sliced bread on the item list of great things in our society. I am anxious to get my plants under the "FG". I have 14 of these being tested in my garden before season starts. In order to monitor the temp inside the FG I drilled a 1/8" hole in the exact center of the top and I can insert a air condition thermomator, close the vents of & know exactly the inside temp in any setting of the vents. I then cut a small pop rivet to fit the hole and no air escapes unless I want it to. By doing this I can rotate the top without any problem. I will also use them for Peppers, Cucumbers & any other plants that I want to start early on in the planting season.
5 5 Frost Guard M Bushee I love this for a cover for my tomato plants. It got down to 30 degrees and thought that was it for the tomatoes. But once I removed the cover the tomatoes were fine! They are very high quality and will last for many years to come! Not like other products that I have purchased in the past. Would highly recommend this for any gardener!!!
5 5 frost guard vicky i really like the frost guard protectors. I used them after I planted my tomatoes, the temp was still unstable. they worked great! I'll use them this fall on some of my delicate plants and see how they do.
5 5 best protection yet Orangepharmd This is a God send for my fragile hydrangeas during the brutal & violently windy winters here.
5 5 Absolutely the Best! Renee I live in Colorado and we have terrible wind. I used these frost guards all spring to protect me tender plants. I could not have a garden without these. I can't say enough good things about these frost guards. I am using them this winter to put over small bushes and plants that I usually lose over the winter because of the winds. When these are pinned down, the wind does not blow them off, they stay put. I even had these guards on in June with the tops off just to protect from the winds and the plants loved it, it did not get too hot. I will definitely be getting more.
