"Great for digging in tight spaces. Use for transplanting, divisions, cutting through roots, and roughing up sides and bottom of planting holes. Light-weight, sturdy."
We have very hard clay here and this shovel cuts through with ease! Takes out tough roots with no problem! The only complaint I have is that the spade part could be 4 inches longer and maybe 2 inches wider....then it would be perfection! Overall a fantastic, sturdy tool.
You can sink this thing in as deep as you want and pry on the handle with all you've got and never worry about breaking a handle. Pretty Manly shovel!
These King of Spade shovels are built like tanks. Tree ands shrub growers (and their employees!) beat the devil out of them and they don't break. They're not light but they're tough and last forever.
