Dig into the toughest jobs!

We make our Leonard All-Steel Nursery Spades using high-quality steel. We equip this spade with an orange powder-coated handle. This D-grip style handle measures 27 inches in length. Next, we weld this handle to a 13-inch long steel blade. This blade measures 7-3/8 inches in width at the top edge and tapers to 6-3/8 inches at the cutting edge. The blade features a flat back and a turned foot step.

We pre-drill holes into the foot step of this spade. These holes make it easy to attach one of our Rubber Foot Pads. Click HERE for a spade and foot pad combination.

Use Leonard All-Steel Nursery Spades for nearly any nursery or landscaping task. The 13-inch blade works well for general use. This blade?s flattened back prevents the buildup of soil. Its turned foot step gives you a larger surface area which allows for increased control when digging.

Leonard All-Steel Nursery Spades provide strength and durability without the added weight. This combination allows you and your crew to tackle nearly any job with minimal fatigue. Dig into the toughest jobs with your Leonard All-Steel Spade knowing that we back this tool with our lifetime warranty!

WARNING: All-steel shovels and spades should not be used in areas where underground electric lines, wires, or cables may be present.

Last shovel you will ever buy. BH from NY wrote May 25, 2019

Ignore the price. This thing is made to last and can handle anything you need it to do. It even survived a fire. (No other shovels did). Treat yourself, you will be glad you did.

Off-roading shovel Jared from WA wrote May 08, 2019

I work in construction and our landscaper swears by amleo. Bought this as a recovery shovel for my truck off-roading - digging my tires out etc. I have used it a few times now and it is SUPER durable - doesn’t flex or bend at all. It is a staple in the landscaping world and should be in off-roading as well.

The best spade I own, Cecilia Gunther from IL wrote May 25, 2017

I have wwoofers working on my farm and though wonderful they are tough on equipment. Every year someone would break the handle on a spade. A good deep strong spade is critical in a garden environment. I searched for a spade that was made with one piece of steel and here it is - to my mind the perfect tool. Keep it clean. Keep it sharp. I have two now and will buy another next summer, As a shallow aside i love the red handle - easy to see over the weeds!!
