Specifically designed for digging out trees, shrubs, and trenches!

The strong, forged steel blade has an extended socket to handle the toughest jobs, and it is much more rounded than a normal round point shovel. With its shallow bowl, and virtually no lift to the handle, it enables near vertical digging.

You can dig out soft, muddy soil with ease without the handle getting in the way. With the blade's solid shank, there isn't any place for soil to catch and build up at the bottom of the shank, like an open back style. Applications: digging trenches, digging out trees, digging holes that need straight edges, minimal or tight digging spaces. Ship wt 6 lbs. Lifetime warranty.

  • 9.25-inch W x 9.75-inch L blade with a low blade lift of 2.125 inches.
  • Forged steel blade with solid shank and an extended tab socket with stronger double rivet connection between handle and blade for tough jobs

I love this shovel Dustin from CO wrote February 05, 2018

This shovel is great for digging tree planting holes and shaping the landscape. It's heavier than traditional shovels, so you get a little extra workout.

Tuff Shovel Tim from NE wrote April 23, 2014

Our rural electric utility linemen need a straight high quality shovel, for pole setting, trenching etc. A.M. Leonard fills the bill with the "caprock irrigation shovels", well made, lifetime warranty, American made, have never cracked one working thru the extremes all four seasons in rural Nebraska. Tim

Top Quality Shovel Doug Y from WI wrote March 07, 2012

Finding the pitch or angle makes planting and various tasks such as irrigation and general digging very easy. I think once you try this model (IS2A) you will never be without one. The quality and sturdiness justifies the price.

A Tough Shovel that stands up to very hard use! Ann from MD wrote March 07, 2012

This (A4350) was bought as a replacement for the exact same shovel bought about 10 years ago. It is used by a man in the excavating business who said that it was the only shovel that he didn't break! Well worth the money.
