The strong, forged steel blade has an extended socket to handle the toughest jobs, and it is much more rounded than a normal round point shovel. With its shallow bowl, and virtually no lift to the handle, it enables near vertical digging.

You can dig out soft, muddy soil with ease without the handle getting in the way. With the blade's solid shank, there isn't any place for soil to catch and build up at the bottom of the shank, like an open back style.
