Great Tool wrote

I bought this due to me having 500 trees to plant. These are bare root trees mind you. With this tool I planted all of my trees in probably 6 hours or so. Very durable. Highly recommend.

This tool was excellent. I planted 70 trees and shrubs and it was a time saver.

Works Great! wrote

I was leary at first about buying this tool, because I have very rocky soil. But it has worked remarkably well. I've been able to plant about 50 tree seedlings per hour. It takes some effort, but works remarkably better than a shovel and pry bar! Tool is well made and the double foot step is better than most other models out there, as is the chisel point design, for rocky soils. Well done A.M. Leonard! Great service, quick delivery.

Handle is to small wrote

This product is to small for a broad shouldered man with large hands. The only way to use it comfortably is to put your hands thumb to thumb against the post and this causes loss of leverage. When spreading yes hands for comfort and leverage the open ends of the handle dig into your palms causing significant irritation after about 20 seedlings. If you can find a model elsewhere with a longer T-handle, buy it instead. It will be easier to use and you will make planting holes faster.

An Amazing Tool! wrote

My department had the task of planting 120 bare root seedlings throughout our campus. With the help of a few volunteers and 2 Leonard Planting Bars we easily accomplished this in just a few hours. Loved the sturdiness and heavy weight of the tool making easy work of the compacted soil.
