We equip our Leonard Closed-Back Round-Point Shovels with tempered steel blades. We reinforce the blade by welding an additional steel ribbon to the back. These 14-gauge steel heads measure 9-1/4 inches wide and 12 inches long and have a black surface coating. An extended 11-inch socket provides a secure head-to-handle connection.
