Botanigard ES is a biological insecticide that is used to control a wide variety of insects. The product contains the spores of a fungus, Beauveria bassiana strain GHA 11.3%. The mode of action is not like any other traditional insecticide. The applied spores infect the outside of the insect's cuticle, adhers to the host insect, and eventually penetrates the skin and grows inside the insect, killing it. Cost effective method of insect control in greenhouses, field and nursery crops, by significantly reducing the amount of traditional pesticides needed. It is safe for use with many beneficial insects present. Rate of application is 1/2 to 1 quart per 100 gallons of water. REI is just 4 hours.
