Application Rates

  • When calculating quantity needed, allow for an 8" overlap for each piece (4" on either end). However, for the beginning and ending pieces you only need to allow overlap for the one end that will be connecting. (4" total overlap)
  • To allow for 8" overlap: divide # of feet needed by 9.33 to obtain the # of 10' pieces needed. For example if you have 150' of installation length you will need to divide the 150' by 9.33 which equals 16 - 10' pieces needed.

Great Solution Charlie from PA wrote March 19, 2017

I decided to spend the extra money for this product after trying several cheaper forms of edging. Between edging that cracked and broke, stones that sank and/or heaved over time, I was pretty frustrated with other solutions. I did part of my landscape over a year ago just to see if it would hold up over a growing season and NE winter. I was pleased to the point of now having it installed about 500 feet of edging along all my gardens. This includes straight runs, curves, and even "L" turns. It took some patience to install because my yard is full of rocks just under the surface, If not for that the job would have been fairly straight forward. I ended up buying an aluminum cutting blade for my circular miter saw for cutting as several manual cuts with a hacksaw got very tiresome.
