It's perfect for my needs. I plant containers for a lot of clients. A good number of them use hayracks and the wire hanging baskets that I've lined with sheet moss previously. I’ve had a difficult time locating a reliable moss source and the cost of shipping doubles the cost of what I do find. Last year I tried burlap in a test basket and it worked beautifully. It’s a huge savings.
I needed burlap to protect my 10 arborvitae trees from deer damage. The local Agway was out of their wide length (48") rolls. I found A. M. Leonard on a Google search. They had this 40" width at 100 feet for the same price as Agway's 50' of 48".width. A real bargain for top quality burlap. It even had seams at both edges to prevent unraveling. I couldn't be happier.
I used this to wrap my Japanese Maple that my kids got me for Mother's Day. Even though it's hardy to zone 5 and I live in zone , I thought this special gift should get a little extra attention. I put a round tomato cage around it and wrapped it with this burlap and so far so good! No deer damage. It looks well protected from winter weather also.
