If you've ever hit roots while trying to plant a perennial, or been stymied by roots when trying to dig up a shrub, or tried to divide hostas with a spade only to have them slide away from your shovel, we're sure you can relate. Don't be surprised if the Root Slayer becomes your go-to-shovel.

Excellent Tool wrote

I purchased this shovel to remove small trees and briars on our 45-acre farm. It has performed better than expected. It is not lightweight and I cannot use it all day, but it really gets the job done.

Root Slayer slays Anything! wrote

My husband bought me a Root Slayer for Christmas last year and it is now the only shovel I use in rocky CT soil when transplanting perennials or even when digging up small shrubs and grasses which need re-planting or dividing. It is rugged, cuts through the toughest roots and is easy to hold (the round handle is very comfortable).
