The 8lb sledgehammer features a forged steel tool head. The striking faces are precision-machined with proper radius and chamfer for safe performance. After machining of the faces, the hammer head is heat-treated to increase the depth of hardness. This head is then equipped with a 36in kiln-dried American Hickory handle. The handle is hydraulically seated to the head and secured with a serrated aluminum wedge for a secure, mechanical bond. A lacquer coating prevents rust and weathering. Made in the USA!
