These sledgehammers feature forged steel tool heads. The striking faces are precision-machined with proper radius and chamfer for safe performance. After machining of the faces, the hammer head is heat-treated to increase the depth of hardness. A lacquer coating on the head prevents rust and weathering. This head is then equipped with a 34in fiberglass handle for enhanced durability. This "jacketed" style handle features an internal fiberglass rod and is shaped as a traditional wood handle. It is hydraulically seated and epoxy bonded to the bare metal eye, creating an extremely strong chemical and mechanical bond. Made in the USA!
