The Original Sledgehammer Tamper Plate Attachment - An A.M. Leonard Exclusive!

Quickly turn any standard sledgehammer into a tamper for compacting small to medium-sized areas. Turn one tool into two and free up toolbox space with the Steel Tamper Plate Attachment. Made to fit most standard 8lb to 12lb double-faced sledgehammer heads (maximum head dimensions 2-3/4in wide x 2-3/4in tall). This tamper attachment pairs best with sledgehammers using 30in or longer handles.

Simply hook one face of the sledge into the attachment and secure the other end with the included wing nuts. The free play of the tamper plate around the sledgehammer head dampens impact and prevents unexpected handle feedback when used on uneven surfaces, offering safe, predictable performance. Made of 1/4in thick steel and powder coated orange. Made in the USA. Lifetime Warranty.
