Love this tomato cage, holds the plants really well, even in wind. The downside is that they are expensive.
Years ago, my local nursery carried a similar brand of tomato cage made by a different company. They were FABULOUS and have lasted me nearly 10 years. My garden has expanded and I wanted a few more cages of the same style. I contacted the original company who was incredibly helpful, but they just couldn’t get the oversized shipping cost low enough for me to justify the purchase. I bought these, which will do the trick. The others were a heavier gauge or wire and were pinched together on all sides, which was nice. I’ve crimped the edges to hold them in place, but they aren’t quite as heavy duty as the other brand, despite being the same size. I hope they will last a while, but I suspect the others will last longer, even though they’ve already been used for a decade. Overall, the 60 inch cages are a terrific height for my tomatoes, they look nice, and I anticipate being able to get multiple years of use out of them. I also really appreciated the price per item cost reduction when buying them in multiples.
love these!
I bought them(3) because of the large dimensions and heavy guage wire construction. Unfortunately the hooks as designed do not hold the cage together. I had to tie the cage together with string. I would have sent them back but I had cut the shipping box to open it.
