I found out the hard way how much dogs like bait blocks. Rats had cached the blocks when they found them and a family pet found that rat-cache years after the rats were gone. The dog lived but it showed how important bait stations can be when looking into rodent control.
I have been using these bait stations for five years, adding a few more to my operation every year and expanding the range of my control area. I even use them under layers of cardboard to create a more rodent-friendly bait station. The stations hold up well to sun and weather but should be weighted or otherwise anchored. Used at each building entry point and in the field at 100 foot intervals they have really helped reduce the rodent population.
This trap really works. I have tried many others with limited success. Tomcat is easy to use and works every time.
