White Knitted Shade fabric is a great alternative to the traditional black-colored fabric because white reflects light and heat (while black absorbs light and heat), resulting in a much cooler environment for the plants - and for the Grower. And while the color black absorbs heat, it is also blocking/shading light. White fabric provides shade, but because the white reflects light, you may end up with a greater PAR transmission while still accomplishing your desired shading and/or cooling effect. Our knitted shade is constructed from high-density polyethylene for added strength and longer life and has fast become an economical alternative to woven fabrics. It is specially engineered to resist tears, mold, and mildew. Its finished edges on both outer sides require no tape or grommets. This fabric will not unravel when cut and is easily installed anywhere with Poly Clips. Choose from either 50% or 70% shade coverage in full 300-foot master rolls. Unlike woven shade fabric, knitted fabric will not unravel when cut, so feel free to cut it to your desired length!
