Reduces the need for watering!

Horticultural Grade Perlite is the most economical type of perlite. This product is OMRI-approved for organic gardening. Each bag contains four cubic feet of perlite.

Perlite provides excellent aeration and drainage yet retains a substantial amount of water. As it begins to dry, it releases any stored water to your plants. This water retention ability also extends to nutrients when used with water-soluble fertilizers.

Use perlite by itself or for hydroponics systems, as part of any potting mix, or for sticking cuttings. It is also perfect for raised beds, rooftop gardening, lawns, seed starting, and container gardening. Lightweight perlite does not crush fine stems or root systems, making it great for growing delicate plants like lettuce or other leafy greens.

Perlite reduces the need for watering, saving you both time and money. As a chemically inert material, perlite will not deteriorate and has a nearly neutral pH. It is also sterile, ensuring it is free of disease, weed seeds, or insects. This bag fills approximately 64 one-gallon nursery pots.

Need this stuff for my potting mix. They came before the promised date. The price was great as we bought 10 bags. Will definitely shop more at amleo in the future.

Not really coarse Mtn Jam from TX wrote October 16, 2018

The perlite was on sale, and A.M. Leonard has a great reputation for season sales for the customer. The horticultural perlite is good, but not coarse enough. A lot of it is powder, I wish it were a bit more coarser - that would be awesome!
