Had about 10 years. Holding up very well. Does a great job on green or dry wood. Sharpens well and easy. Use the pole, saw, and pruner a lot. cut some big branches. No problems.

I've had the pole for a few years and now it seems to be stuck...it won't slide apart. Terry Farrow

Better than most, but could use some improvements. wrote

Overall, it seems to be better than most telescoping poles on the market, but it could still use a little work. I've used 2 of the EXP45 poles. The locking levers that hold the poles in place when extended are plastic and it doesn't take much to snap them off when bumped. I also had a problem with the pruning head adapter not fitting well. It's a decent product, but does have some weaknesses.

First pole saw wrote

The blade-head and pole were misaligned and would not allow the locking buttons to engage, but we returned both and asked Leonard to make sure the next set fit together. We are trimming high branches in woodland trees to improve views from trails, sometimes use while standing on ladder, drop it from there into brush, leave it outdoors for extended periods, and so far taking the abuse. The more extended & the more my arms are raised to use, the less well blade stays in cut vs "hopping" out with each stroke, but my guess all poles are like this and there is some technique to be learned. Wish someone would market a practical, easily adjustable and removable ladder standoff to fit on top bar and grip trees of variable diameter.

Great cutting blade, very poor pole locking mechanisms. wrote

We purchased the ARS EXP45 pole saw and within 1 year had to replace the spring lock tabs on the pole as they wore out. Also the plastic locks tend to wear out as well. The cutting blade is great, but the pole part needs some new design in order to last longer.
