Essential Tool wrote

My go-to tool for weeding and planting new plants. Ideal for breaking up soil after you dig the hole with a spade. So easy to use- ergonomic!

Every day usage wrote

My friend loaned me her "Japanese hoe" after watching me flip flop all my hand tools while gardening. She loaned me both the long and short handled tools, and I hunting to purchase my own within days. They are strong, and do just about everything. I ran over my first short handled digger with the tractor and had to purchase a second...but I can still use the first...differently, of course. I won't be without these tools again. I personally find them essential.

EZ Digger wrote

We have used short-handled EZ Diggers for years in the nursery; they're popular with crews and customers. However, the item pictured in catalogs apparently is no longer manufactured. The EZ Diggers shipped now do not have the curve in the metal between the wooden handle and the blade, as pictured; it is a straight run, with just a slight curve right at the beginning of the blade. In our opinion, this version is less functional than the original.
