this tool does it all wrote

This is the best garden hand tool I've ever owned. It digs in any soil, measures hole depths, is tough, sharp and sturdy enough to cut through everything from tree roots to twine and plastic bags. I've had mine for over 8 years and it is still a workhorse! This purchase is for a fellow gardener who loves it as much as I do

Soil Knife AKA hori hori knife wrote

Wanted it for separating bearded iris and hostas. Used it this weekend to work granular fertilizer and worm castings into soil around roses. DREAMY. New favorite tool (after my dutch hoe).

I never garden without it. It's the best garden tool I have. wrote

Years ago, I worked for a landscape company, doing the flower beds at all their clients. I ordered one for myself back then, and this is my third one. Not because they don't last, but because I had lost the previous two at different times, different locations.

Use with Caution wrote

It's not a shovel: it's a dirt knife and parts of it are quite sharp. I'll never use a spade again as this thing is incredible. Buy it and never look back--if you're prone to accidents use them with leather gloves. Don't let kids play with it.
