We build our drain spades to be the best in the business! We engineered these spades with a closed-back construction. We manufacture the blade using extra-thick 12-gauge steel. We coat it with a black powder-coat finish to make it resist both corrosion and the elements. Turned-down steps on the top of the blade feature pre-drilled holes for a foot pad (sold separately - find them HERE). We secure the blade to the handle using a double-rivet handle assembly. Choose from either a wood handle — straight or D-grip — or a straight fiberglass handle below. At A.M. Leonard, we design all our tools to provide you with years of service.
