The best characteristics of rubber strips, nylon tape, wax and paraffin! Buds and grafts succeed at a high rate. The secret is its elasticity - a gentle stretch makes it self-adhesive. Seals the bud or graft tightly. Keeps the bud moist and secure while allowing air to permeate the wound. Permits a young, healthy bud to emerge through the tape. No need to remove by hand: biodegradable in sunlight. Works well in cold or hot weather. Recommended for: deciduous fruit and nut trees, roses, grapevines, citrus fruit trees, coniferous evergreens, ornamental trees, deciduous shade trees, and bonsai trees. 857 perforated 25 mm tape strips per roll; each measures 1" x 2-3/4" (unstretched), to create up to 1,714 tyings. Fast and easy for both T and chip buddings!

Specs

Roll of 1" wide tape, perforated into 2 3/4" strips(unstreched) with 857 strips per roll. User may get several tyings from one strip. May do up to 1,714 tyings of smaller budded or grafted material. Best use of tape is to wrap twice above bud or graft, once over top of bud or graft, and twice again below bud or graft. Bud will emerge through tape without human interference. Tape is biodegradable and should be left on plant material until nearly or completely degraded. Do not remove tape by hand.

Buddy Tape is the way to go wrote

This tape is absolutely the best way to go for budding and grafting, keeping those scions from drying out. Way easier to work with the parafilm. It's worth the extra price if you do much grafting.

Perforated Budding Tape wrote

I used to use Parafilm® and talked all my friends into it that used to use vinyl for grafting. I was low on Parafilm® and thought that I would try A.M. Leonard's Budding Tape. It is absolutely wonderful. I use it on my stone fruit trees and my twenty plus varieties of avocados. Almost all my grafts take now and it is so easy to use. When I compared the price of this with the price of the other I wondered if it was worth the difference. The answer is a resounding "YES!". I use substantially less and it applies so easily. I have been grafting a lot lately and haven't used up my first roll. I bought two more just to have on hand so that I can give it to my friends. It has controlled stretch and doesn't break easily. It seals that grafts tightly and secures it well.

Making "Cocktail" Mango trees with Buddy Tape wrote

When putting grafts of several different varieties on large mango trees in customer's yards, in southeast Florida, my grafts wrapped with cheap white tape tended to die. When I switched to Buddy Tape, the number of successful grafts went way up, making my activity commercially viable.
