Bayer?s Coretech® Tree and Shrub Insecticide Tablets utilize the active ingredient imidacloprid. Imidacloprid is the same active ingredient as Merit, the world?s foremost tree and shrub insecticide. Each Coretech® tablet also contains a 12-9-4 fertilizer and other beneficial micronutrients.Imidacloprid provides outstanding residual control of more than 20 species of piercing, sucking, and chewing insects. See the "Product Benefits" tab below for more information. Coretech?s® unique tablet delivery system reaches the plant?s root system faster. This speed allows it to improve plant growth rate and survivability.One to two Coretech® tablets gives you up to one year of powerful insect control. Just put the tablet into the soil and water it in. Use when planting new ornamental trees and shrubs. You can also use with established plants. Application rates vary depending on the size of the container. For a one-gallon pot, use one to two tablets. Place the tablets 2 to 5 inches below the surface of the soil. Established trees and shrubs may require additional tablets.
