This model is equipped with heavy-duty cap-mount ear muffs, which provide a Noise Reduction Rating of 27 dB, and Visor Bracket. A nylon mesh visor is used for this dielectric model.6" x 11" nylon mesh visor fits snugly to the brim of cap, keeping debris from getting inside.

What is meant by Noise Reduction Rating?
That is the number of decibels by which the hearing protector will reduce the noise. For example, if you are working in an environment with a noise level of 90 dB, a protector with 27 dB NNR (Noise Reduction Rating) will reduce the noise 27 decibels. Scientifically that is a lot more than it appears, because every time you reduce noise levels by three decibels it is like cutting it in half.
