We designed this round point shovel with the same open-back blade style used on our RPS shovels for years. This cost-effective, contractor-grade shovel features a 14-gauge spring steel blade. Spring steel resists permanent deflection and gives this shovel the perfect mix of strength and durability. The Leonard contractor-grade blade features forward turned footsteps. We powder-coat the blade to protect it from corrosion. This shovel arrives assembled with a fiberglass handle. This handle features a solid core design. A press fit collar completes the blade to handle connection. We complete this 48-inch fiberglass handle with an 8-inch grip for added comfort.
