The welded all-steel construction of the Leonard Sharpshooter is built to withstand the most brutal landscaping and construction tasks, day after day. A heavy weight tool, ideal for extreme digging conditions. Although heavier than traditional sharpshooters, the additional weight has proven extremely useful when trenching, and breaking up stubborn ground. The 12 gauge steel blade measures 6" wide x 14-3/4" long. The dished blade with rounded tip features a beveled edge to slice into the ground. Measuring 78" in length, this extra long tool is ideal for digging deep holes, while the extra length is also useful for prying and leveraging tasks. A thick PVC is added to the handle to provide insulation from initial shock when digging near utility lines and to protect the hands from impact and wear and tear encountered during use.
